ST. PAUL (AP) — Minnesota's health insurance exchange is moving the deadline to get coverage for the New Year back five days to Dec. 20.

MNsure officials said Monday they pushed back the deadline because insurance companies gave the state more time to enroll consumers, and not because of any website issues.

The new deadline is at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.

MNsure officials say they were receiving a record amount of inquiries on Monday, the original deadline to enroll.

Callers' average wait time on Monday was 20 minutes.
