MnSCU Chancellor to Update Trustees on Overhaul

ST. PAUL  (AP) - It hasn't even been 60 days since the new chancellor of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system announced the institution needs a shakeup, but he's ready to give the trustees a progress report.

MnSCU Chancellor Steven Rosenstone is scheduled to provide the trustees with an update on his strategic vision for the 54-campus system during their regular meeting Wednesday afternoon.

In a special meeting in September, Rosenstone declared that the greatest risk to the institution was business as usual and outlined an ambitious plan to reform it.

While the plan was short on specifics, he was clear that he wanted to improve the quality of the education MnSCU provides at a time of declining state resources while remaining affordable for students.
