PAYNESVILLE -- The Minnesota Department of Transportation will resume its Highway 23 Paynesville bypass public meetings tomorrow. They will be held every other Thursday at the Paynesville American Legion.

MnDOT staff and representatives from KGM Contractors Inc. will give progress reports, plans for upcoming construction activities and answer questions.

The public meetings are resuming along with construction work ramping up now after the winter slowdown.

The 7 1/2 mile four-lane divided bypass project involves grading work, paving, construction of eight bridges and lighting.

It began in April 2010 and is expected to be completed in August 2012.
