ST. PAUL (AP) — The Minnesota Department of Transportation is gearing up for another round of wintry weather in the Twin Cities this weekend.

The National Weather Service is forecasting freezing rain and snow for the metro area that will change to snow between Friday night and late Saturday.

MnDOT expects from 2 to 4 inches of snow in the Cities, with the lowest amount in the south metro and the highest in the north.

The agency is asking motorists to give plows plenty of room and drive according to road conditions.

A storm last weekend dumped up to 14 inches of snow in parts of the Twin Cities. MnDOT deployed close to 200 plows in the metro area.
