RICHMOND -- The Minnesota Department of Transportation is holding an open house on the future plans to expand Highway 23 between Paynesville and Richmond.

Area residents, motorists and business owners are invited to get a look at the proposed project Thursday in Richmond. The open house will be at the Gathering Space at the St. Peter and Paul Church from 4:30-7:00 p.m.

There will be no formal presentation, but you'll be able to see the design layout, ask questions of staff and give your input.

The project is being planned through the Corridors of Commerce program established by the Legislature in 2013, although there's no funding currently set aside for the expansion.
