ST. PAUL (AP) - The Minnesota State Fair will cost a little more this year.

Admission, parking and midway ticket prices are increasing. Fair organizers say it was bound to happen after several years of keeping prices flat while operating costs continue to rise.

Regular admission for adults is up a dollar to $13.00. Kids and seniors are $11.00, also up a dollar.

Pre-admission admission tickets available through Aug. 20 will also increase $1.00 to $10.00.

Individual midway ticket prices increased a quarter to $1.00, while a sheet of 30 tickets is $25.00. Parking is $13.00, up $1.00.

The fair runs Aug. 21 through Labor Day, Sept. 1. Last year, 1.7 million people attended, despite a stretch of hot and humid weather.
