HASTINGS, Minn. (AP) – A Missouri man has died after a fight outside a Minnesota restaurant.

Police say 32-year-old Bradley Sanders, of Bakersfield, Missouri, died Monday at a St. Paul hospital. He collapsed during a fight with a 27-year-old West Plains, Missouri, man outside a Perkins Restaurant in Hastings May 9.

Police Chief Bryan Schafer says the men were in the area to work on a construction project at a local oil refinery. He says they stopped at the restaurant after a night of drinking. A manager told them to leave after they started arguing.

The suspect was jailed on suspicion of third-degree assault but later released pending further investigation.

Schafer says the case will be forwarded to prosecutors once the medical examiner determines the cause of death.
