ST. CLOUD — Dozens of mayors from towns along the Mississippi River from the headwaters to the gulf coast will be in St. Cloud tomorrow. It’s the second annual Mississippi River Cities and Towns annual meeting.

St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis co-chairs the initiative. He says they’ll take care of business first before enjoying some festivities.  Kleis says they’ll conduct various initiatives like jobs, barge traffic and the creation of a river community foundation network.

On Thursday, the group will be part of the Granite City Days opening ceremonies.

On Friday, the group will take a bus trip to the Mississippi headwaters before returning Friday night.
