CHISHOLM (AP) — Minnesota's winningest boys basketball coach is retiring after this season.

Bob McDonald will leave the Chisholm Bluestreaks after the 2013-14 season.

It will be McDonald's 59th season as head coach, and his 52nd with the Bluestreaks. He has also coached at McGregor and Barnum.

The 80-year-old McDonald has 994 career victories, and was inducted into the Minnesota State High School League's Hall of Fame in May.

He's also the nation's active leader in wins.

Chisholm starts its season Nov. 22 at home against North Woods.
