ST. PAUL (AP) - The Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs has launched a newly redesigned website aimed at giving the state's veterans improved access to job opportunities, information about healthcare options and benefits, and other services.

The site, MinnesotaVeteran.org, is now up and running. Staff at the Department of Veterans Affairs partnered with an outside consultant on the site, which Veterans Affairs Commissioner Larry Shellito says is meant to give veterans and their families a more user-friendly online experience.

Site users can find out how to request discharge papers, get information about the GI Bill, access resources for help finding jobs, take a virtual tour of Minnesota's five veterans' homes, learn the history of various state veteran memorials, and access other features.
