MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) - A University of Montana student was reported missing Monday after failing to return from a weekend fishing trip.

The Missoula County sheriff's office says 21-year-old August Kramer's last debit card transaction was at McDonald's in Lolo at about 1:30 p.m. Sunday. He told his roommate he was going fishing, but he didn't say where.

Kramer is 6 feet, 2 inches tall and lean with dark hair. He was driving a black Toyota Land Cruiser registered in Minnesota. He is from the Twin Cities.

Volunteer searchers planned to search along the U.S. Highway 12 corridor on ATVs on Tuesday and Wednesday, checking all off-road fishing access sites all the way to the Idaho border.
