MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- The Minnesota State Patrol is reporting over 200 crashes statewide, including one fatal crash, as a winter storm made highways slippery across southern Minnesota.

Lt. Eric Roeske says 215 crashes had been reported as of 10 a.m., including 35 with injuries, while there were 190 reports of vehicles off the road or spinouts. Most of the accidents were in the Twin Cities metropolitan area.

One crash on Interstate 94 west of Albany involved a semi and a snow plow.

The fatal accident was a head-on crash in Wright County just before 8:45 a.m. Details weren't immediately released.
