UPDATE: Kimball Woman Killed In Head-On Crash In Meeker County

LITCHFIELD - A 62-year-old Kimball woman has been killed in a head-on collision.

The Minnesota State Patrol says the crash happened at about 9:00 a.m. this (Tuesday) morning near the intersection of Highway 24 and 670th Avenue near Forest City in Meeker County.

The first vehicle was heading east on Highway 24 when it started to swerve. The second vehicle was headed west. It made a move to avoid the first vehicle and struck a third vehicle head-on.

The driver of the second vehicle was Barbara Root of Kimball. She died at the scene of the crash.

The driver of the first vehicle was 20-year-old Matthew Bohach of Litchfield, he was not hurt.

The driver of the third vehicle was 50-year-old Douglas Hughes of Litchfield, he suffered none life threatening injuries.
