MINNEAPOLIS -- The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating a motorcycle crash that happen last night (Tuesday) on I-394. The crash happened just before 10:00 p.m.

During a press conference today, State Patrol Lt. Jason Bartell says witnesses saw the motorcyclist driving down the road at about 100-120 mph.

Bartell says the motocyclist has been identified as 30-year-old Anand Baskaran of New York.

He was found unresponsive and later pronounced dead. He was not wearing a helmet.

A witness says Baskaran hit a pothole before losing control of the motorcycle.

Bartell says Baskaran was riding along side another motorcycle at the time of the crash.

Witnesses say the other motorcyclist fled the scene.

Officers are trying to locate the other rider as the investigation continues.
