Minnesota Police Seek Help on Missing Baby
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Minneapolis police have issued an Amber Alert and are looking for a suspect in the reported abduction of an 8-month-old boy.
The mother told police she left Carlos Orozco in his car seat in her apartment in the 2100 block of Portland Avenue South while she took a shower around noon Wednesday. He was gone when she got out.
Cmdr. Catherine Johnson said police were looking for a woman in her early 30s who had struck up a friendship with the mother in recent months. They said the woman was driving a red 2002 Kia Sportage, with front-end damage and Minnesota license 242 GAU.
Carlos was wearing a onesie with a blue-and-white body and red sleeves, with the logo "(pound sign) 1 Slugger."
