ST. CLOUD -- Nearly 400 Minnesota law enforcement agencies are adding extra patrols during their two week Click It or Ticket campaign.

The campaign runs now until June 1st.

Donna Berger is the Office of Traffic Safety director. She says "over the next two weeks, you'll see and hear our seat belt messages throughout the state."

During the past five years (2009-2013) about 580 people died and over 9700 were injured on Minnesota roads as a result of not wearing a seat belt.

A seat belt ticket can cost between $25 to over $100 if pulled over.
