ST. PAUL (AP) - The state-run health insurance exchange is aiming to sign up the last 5 percent of Minnesota residents without insurance through a multimillion dollar effort.

MNsure is using market research and targeted advertisement in its second-year marketing strategy. The goal is to persuade people who think they don't need insurance, as well as those who think they can't afford it, to sign up for MNsure. Workers are also contacting people who need to re-enroll in the exchange.

The director of marketing and communications at MNsure says the goal is to educate uninsured people about the options that are available to them.

One of MNsure's new commercials targets millennials because many people born between the 1980s and 2000s don't think they need insurance.
