MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Minnesota's delegation will make the first pitch to NFL owners as three cities compete to host the Super Bowl in 2018.

Bid committee leader Marilyn Carlson Nelson says the lead off position is good luck for the Twin Cities, which was randomly selected to go first with its 15-minute presentation ahead of New Orleans and Indianapolis.

NFL owners meeting in Atlanta are voting Tuesday on the 2018 Super Bowl. The Minnesota civic and team delegation will promote the Vikings new stadium in its pitch. It's expected to open in July 2016.

Vikings executive Lester Bagley says he's confident Minnesota's February weather will not be a factor in the owners' vote.
