MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Authorities say two police officers and four people in another vehicle were taken to a hospital after a collision that sent a Minneapolis squad car into an apartment building.

Minneapolis police spokesman John Elder says officers were on their way to a medical emergency Monday night when a vehicle with seven people entered an intersection just ahead of the squad car. The two vehicles collided, sending the squad car into an apartment building on a corner of the intersection.

Police said two officers and four people in the other vehicle were taken to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale for minor injuries that were not life-threatening.

No one was in the apartment at the time of the crash.
