MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - A Minneapolis police officer's service handgun, ammunition and uniform are still missing more than two weeks after the items were stolen from his locked personal vehicle.

According to a court document, the officer's pickup truck was broken into on Nov. 26 while he was off-duty and in a drugstore in St. Paul. A police spokeswoman says the officer did nothing wrong.

Later on the day of the break-in, police in Minneapolis spotted a different vehicle reported stolen from Hopkins.

That vehicle was pulled over, and a suspected 17-year-old gang member behind the wheel was arrested.

Papers related to the officer's work were recovered from the vehicle. But many other items taken from the officer's pickup have yet to surface, even after the teen's home was searched.
