MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak used the stage at the Democratic National Convention to drive home the themes of President Obama's re-election campaign.

Rybak addressed the audience outside of prime time Tuesday evening and told delegates that Obama is still working to repair the economy after taking office under difficult circumstances.

Rybak said Obama took over after the "greatest economic catastrophe since the Great Depression" and got to work.

Minnesota delegate Aaron Lee Wittnebel of Lake Park says he expects a harder fight for Democrats this election than last.
