MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - A Minneapolis man is charged with killing his girlfriend and dumping her body, wrapped in a sheet, near railroad tracks in St. Louis Park.

Fifty-four-year-old Walter Thompson is charged in Hennepin County with second-degree murder. Thompson's daughter and his sister are charged as accomplices after the fact, for allegedly helping him dispose of the body.

Prosecutors say Thompson and 46-year-old Nerissa Shaw were drinking together on Sept. 13 when he beat her to death.

Two days later, security cameras from Thompson's apartment complex showed him and two women carrying a plastic container from the apartment and into a car. Police determined the women were Thompson's daughter, 25-year-old Rachel Lee Thompson of Minneapolis, and his sister, 53-year-old Senaca Ann Thompson of Brooklyn Center.

Shaw's body was found Tuesday behind a building.
