Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Saturday at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church in Avon for Mildred Raden who died Monday at the St. Cloud Hospital. The Rev. Blane Wasnie, O.S.B. will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4-8 PM at the Williams Dingmann Funeral Home in Avon and 1 hour prior to services on Saturday at the church in Avon. St. Benedict’s Parish prayers will be at 5PM Friday at the funeral home in Avon.

Millie was born in Avon to Simon & Josephine (Keppers) Ritter. She married Edward M. Raden on November 23, 1943 at Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Albany. Millie was employed by St. John’s University and Avon State Bank for many years. She is a member of St. Benedict’s Catholic Church in Avon and the Christian Mothers. Millie was always very considerate to others. She enjoyed spending time cooking and playing cards. Her favorite card game was 500. She had a sharp mind and very good memory.

Survivors include her children, Joan (Jerry) Jonas of St. Joseph; Jerry (Diane) Raden of Avon; siblings, Alice Schindler of St. Joseph; Alfred (Adeline Ritter of Avon; Edward Ritter of Albany; Martin (Marilyn) Ritter of Lakewood, CA; sister in law, Mary Ann Ritter of Albany and brother in law, Oswald Thelen of St. Joseph; 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 2005, son Roger Raden, daughter in law, Mary Lou Raden, grandson, Jeff Jonas, siblings, Leo & Hubert Ritter, Angeline Berger, Bernice Dobmeier, Bernadine Thelen, Evelyn Skaj.
