SARTELL - 2012 was a tough year for the Sartell-St. Stephen school board, rife with turnover and decisive issues, but Michelle Meyer plans to get things back on track.

At Monday night's school board organizational meeting at the district office, Meyer was nominated, seconded, and selected unopposed to become the chair of the school board.

While Meyer was elected onto the board in November, this isn't her first stint representing Sartell Schools. She spent many years as the chair previously.

Meyer says she's looking forward to working with her colleagues and rebuilding community trust in the school board.

"It was a rocky year, and we're looking forward to rebuilding those relationships with the community," Meyer says.

In addition to Meyer, Mary McCabe was selected as vice chair, and Jason Nies took on the role of clerk/treasurer.

The board also voted not to change their salaries.
