Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 19, 2015 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Michael J. Grow, 60, who died Tuesday at his home. Friends and relatives may call from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, June 18 at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, St. Cloud and one hour prior to the services at the church on Friday. St. Paul’s parish prayers will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Blue Hill Township.

Michael James Grow was born on August 14, 1954 to Dalton and Rachel (Jenson) Grow in Princeton. He married Roxanne Gerth on July 31, 1976 at St. Edwards Catholic Church in Princeton. Michael began his career with O.G. Hanson and Sons in Princeton , Buffalo Concrete, then to CMI (Concrete Masonry Inc.) in Medford. He moved to St. Cloud to work for Bauerly Bros/Knife River as the Plant Manager , as a Batching Specialist for Concrete Mobility in Sweetwater, TX . He then worked as the Plant Manager for Hardrives in Waite Park until he was unable to continue. Michael enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, trapshooting and was an expert in concrete masonry. His motto was work hard play hard. He enjoyed spending time at the lake and was the master griller. He was a quiet, humble and honest man of few words and was strong in his faith. Michael was always there for his family and will be missed greatly by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Roxanne; children, Matthew (Kellie) of Albertville, Emily (fiancé Mike Fairchild) of St. Cloud; mother, Rachel Grow of Princeton; grandchildren, Samuel and Hannah; brother, Keith (Theresa) of Brainerd; sisters, Pamela (Al Haberman) Maurer of Big Lake, Julie (Bruce) Landmark of Benson; and many nieces and nephews. Michael was preceded in death by his father, infant son, James Lloyd and an infant brother.

Michael’s family would like to thank the St. Cloud Hospital Hospice with a special thank you to Jim for their exceptional care.
