MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - A massive amount of dirt will be hauled from the Metrodome site as construction of a new Minnesota Vikings stadium moves ahead.

Crews will soon begin to truck more than 300,000 cubic yards of dirt from the Minneapolis site. That's enough dirt to fill more than 100 Olympic-size swimming pools.

All that dirt will wind up at a 33-acre site in Blaine. Allina Health owns the property and bought the dirt for $500,000. It will be used for future development of the site.
