ST. CLOUD -- It could cost you more to ride the St. Cloud Metro Bus this year.

Spokesman Tom Cruikshank says they are proposing increasing the cash fare for fixed route service from $1.10 to $1.25. But, Cruikshank says they would also eliminate the 25-cent transfer fee.

The 7-Day Pass would go up a dollar to $17 and the 31-Day Pass would go from $45 to $47.

Cruikshank says there would also be some minor increases to the Dial-A-Ride fares. If approved, Dial-a-Ride cash fares would increase 30-cents to $2.50, with the 10-Ride Card and 31-Day All-Service Pass each going up three dollars.

A public hearing will be held April 15th with the new fares set to take effect in May.
