ST. CLOUD -- St. Cloud Metro Bus Executive Director David Tripp is retiring this spring.

Tripp has led the organization for the last 33 years and has seen the public transportation system grow during that time. He says a big accomplishment was the construction of the downtown Transit Center.  Tripp says other accomplishments were the construction of their Administration Center in east St. Cloud and the Dial-A-Ride program's growing services.

He is also excited about the transition to compressed natural gas-powered buses which should start this spring with 10 new bus orders.

Tripp will retire at the end of April.

A community advisory committee will be formed to conduct a search for Tripp's replacement.
