Metro Bus Changing Sartell Route to Accommodate Construction

SARTELL -- Soon, the Minnesota Department of Transportation will be closing the Highway 15/Stearns County Road 120 intersection to begin work on the new Diverging Diamond Interchange. The move is prompting Metro Bus to split its Sartell route into two separate routes.

Route 31 will depart from the downtown Transit Center and travel to the Wal Mart and Sam's Club area.

The other route, Route 32 will hub out of the Epic Center and serve the rest of Sartell including the medical campus area.

Metro Bus spokesman Tom Cruikshank says it made sense to split the route to accommodate traffic delays that are expected because of the construction project.

The changes go into effect Sunday.
