SAUK RAPIDS -- One man is jailed after a drug bust in Sauk Rapids. The Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force served a search warrant at 422 2nd Street South in Sauk Rapids Thursday.

Investigators had received complaints of drugs being sold. Police then observed activities consistent with drug sales prior to serving the warrant. While serving the warrant authorities found 52-year-old Joel Lovitz of Sauk Rapids, and a juvenile in the home at the time.

Police say during the search around 3 ounces of methamphetamine were found.

Lovitz was taken to the Benton County Jail where he faces charges of 1st degree possession of drugs, and child endangerment.

The child was released to relatives.
