Memorial Service Set For Local Marine Killed In Afghanistan

ST. CLOUD — Memorial services have been set for a local Marine killed in Afghanistan.

Services for 21-year-old Corporal Sean Osterman will be Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Atonement Lutheran Church in St. Cloud.  Osterman’s brother will accept his Purple Heart during the service.  Members of the Patriot Guard and the Gold Star Mothers will attend.

A service will also be held at Ft. Myers Chapel in Virginia on Tuesday, January 4th at 9:00 a.m., before Osterman is laid to rest at the Arlington Cemetary.

Osterman was wounded by a sniper on December 14th. He died two days later.

He’s a 2007 graduate of St. Cloud Technical High School.  Osterman’s mom, Kelly Hugo, is a Guidance Counselor at North Junior High.
