GARRISON -- A Melrose man is seriously hurt after crashing his motorcycle in Crow Wing County on Saturday.

The state patrol says the incident happened shortly after 1:00 p.m. on Highway 169 near the Country Road 26 intersection.

Sixty-four-year-old Daniel Harren of Melrose was riding his motorcycle when he swerved to avoid rear ending another vehicle, went into the ditch and rolled.

Harren suffered serious injuries. His passenger, 60-year-old Susanne Harren of Melrose, received non life-threatening injuries.
