Melrose Man Ejected From Vehicle During Rollover

STEARNS COUNTY -- A Melrose man was thrown from his vehicle after a crash along Highway 23 and Interstate 94 yesterday. The Stearns County Sheriff's Department was called around 9:45 p.m.

Deputies say 61-year-old Annella Mergen of Richmond was driving westbound on Highway 23 when her 2004 Dodge Dakota was hit from behind by 25-year-old Luke Olmscheid of Melrose.

Mergen's vehicle went into the ditch and Olmscheid's 2013 Hyndai Sonata SE rolled and he was ejected from it.

Mergen and her passenger 65-year-old Jeffery Mergen of Richmond were not hurt. Olmscheid was treated for non life threatening injuries.
