Medicare Scam Sweeping Through Morrison County

MORRISON COUNTY -- Another scam is circulating Morrison County, this time regarding Medicare.

Morrison County Sheriff Shawn Larsen says callers are posing as representatives from Medicare saying you're eligible for a free knee and back brace.

The callers says they need your Medicare card information before the products are sent. Larsen says in this particular case, the victim's card number was their social security number.

Larsen says if you receive an offer that seems too good to be true, it's more than likely a scam and to never give out personal information over the phone.
