Means Sentenced To 12+ Years For Assault, Attempted Murder
ST. CLOUD -- A St. Cloud man has been sentenced to 12-and-a-half years in prison for attacking the same woman twice earlier this year.
27-year-old Jeffrey Means Jr. was sentenced to consecutive sentences on one count of attempted murder and one count of domestic assault.
Court records show he assaulted a woman who was pregnant with his child on February 13th. The victim ended up losing the baby as a result of the beating.
On May 19th, court records show Means attacked the woman with a knife at a north St. Cloud apartment, causing multiple stab wounds and cuts to her face, neck and back. Means fled the area and was found in Minneapolis more than a week later and arrested.
The victim received multiple injuries but eventually recovered.
Means will get credit for 175 days behind bars but will serve a sentence of 21 months for the assault consecutive to the 130 months for attempted murder.
