ROCHESTER (AP) -- Mayo Clinic-Rochester held an historic meeting, with seven local and national chief executive officers since 1976 gathering in one room.

According to reports, they all spoke on a panel Friday to clinic employees.

The Mayo Clinic CEOs included one as far back as Dr. W. Eugene Mayberry, who served from 1976 to 1987.

Each CEO heaped praise upon the Franciscan sisters of Rochester and their role in both Mayo's past and its future.

It was the final major event in Mayo's yearlong sesquicentennial celebration.
