Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, St. Cloud for Maurice (Jim) Krogman, age 88. Jim went to be with his loving wife of 64 years, Willa on Monday evening. Rev. Thomas Knoblach will officiate and burial will be in Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls. Friends and relatives may call one hour prior to the services at the church on Saturday. Arrangements have been entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, St. Cloud.

Jim was born on June 5, 1926 in Hoven, SD to John and Louise (Hank) Krogman. He courageously served his country as a QM3 in the United States Navy on the USS Starr during WWII. On August 5, 1950 he married Willadene “Willa” Johnson in Richland, WA. Jim was a reactor operator at Hanford Nuclear Plant in Richland, WA from 1949-1973. He also owned and operated along with his wife, Willa’s Rec. in Hoven, SD from 1973-1990. Jim enjoyed cooking and bingo. He was also a big baseball fan and cheered for the Twins and Chicago Cubs. He also had a love for music and sang in a number of quartets.

Jim is survived by his children, Paula (Harold) Smith of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, John (Sandy) of Federal Way, WA, Tim (Renee) of Vancouver, WA, Carla Otte (Ken Carlson) of St. Cloud, Kathy Frost of St. Cloud; 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; and greatly anticipated the birth of four additional great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Willa on Sept. 10, 2014; parents; brothers, Clem, Adolph (Sully) and sisters, Marie Mallow and Loretta Hoven.
