Mary T. Neiman, 83, St. Cloud

May 2, 1932 - December 15, 2015

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30AM Friday, December 18, 2015 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud for Mary Neiman who died Tuesday at the St. Cloud Hospital. The Rev. Thomas Knoblach will officiate. Burial will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Little Falls at a later date. Visitation will be from 9:30 – 10:30AM Friday at the church in St. Cloud. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in St. Cloud.

Mary was born in St. Cloud to Norbert & Theresa (Chirhart) Neis. She married Robert Neiman on July 27, 1957. Mary was employed as a medical secretary at the VA Medical Center in St. Cloud for 30 years. She held various positions including the secretary to the director before retiring in 1992. She was very proud of her career and she was there to serve the veterans. Mary was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, St. Anthony’s Christian Women, a life member of VFW #4847 Auxiliary and a member of the Waite Park American Legion #428 Auxiliary. Mary was a genealogy “buff” and was proud having traced Bob’s lineage back to the Revolutionary War. She enjoyed rides in the car especially long road trips and her loving four legged companion “BB”. Mary had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to laugh. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her husband, Robert of 58 years; children, Julie of Waite Park, David of Waite Park, Patty of St. Cloud and Becky of Marshalltown, IA.; sister, Kathleen Schwitalla of Sauk Rapids; brother, Robert (Joanne) Neis of St. Louis Park; sister in law, Mary Neis of Waite Park.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jim Neis and brother in law, Norman Schwitalla.

Memorials are preferred to the Poor Clare Monastery in Sauk Rapids.
