Mary Kay Midas, 51, Foley

January 3, 1964 - November 15, 2015

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday, November 19, 2015 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Foley for Mary K. Midas, age 51, who passed away Sunday at her home in Foley, surrounded by her family, after a courageous battle with cancer. Rev. Michael Wolfbauer will officiate. Burial will be at Parish Cemetery in Foley. Visitation will be from 4 – 8 p.m. Wednesday at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids and one hour prior to services on Thursday at church. Parish prayers will be 5:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mary was born January 3, 1964 in St. Cloud to Silverius and Bernice (Reinhofer) Schweiss. She married Gary Midas June 4, 1982 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sauk Rapids. She was a lifelong resident of Foley and Sauk Rapids. She has most recently worked for Woodcraft in St. Cloud and previously had cleaned at Hillside School in Sauk Rapids and also worked at Xcel Optical in Sauk Rapids. Mary loved birds, shopping, dancing, going to the casino and 4-wheeling. She enjoyed doing puzzles, yard work and had always wanted to go to Jamaica. She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Foley.

Mary is survived by her husband, Gary of Foley; daughter and sons, Stacy of Rice, Gary Jr (Cassie), Travis and Kyle all of Foley; brothers and sisters, Peggy (Ken) Benoit of Sauk Rapids, Diane (Harry) Hall of Sauk Rapids, Gene (Alice) Schweiss of Maple Grove, LuAnn (Mark) Helgeson of Monticello, Joseph Schweiss of Sauk Rapids and Jerome (Amy) Schweiss of Foley; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant brother and a grandson.
