Mary Jon Boozell, 71, Crosslake

March 6, 1943 - October 3, 2014

Mary Jon Boozell, 71, of Crosslake, MN died peacefully on Friday, October 3rd, 2014 at Golden Horizons. Memorial Services for Mary will be at the Crosslake Lutheran Church on Friday, October 10th at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be an hour prior to service followed by a reception.

Mary was born in Minneapolis, MN on March 6th, 1943 to John and Miriam (Day) Lindquist. She graduated from St. Louis Park High School, and in 1971 moved with her young children and then husband Lester to Crosslake. Mary worked as a secretary at Pequot Lakes High School and also many years with the ECFE in Apple Valley. In her free time she enjoyed knitting, playing bingo, and visiting with her family and friends. She also was proud in helping to start the area Girl Scouts. Mary is known for her sense of humor and quick wit, and her memory will always be cherished as a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Mary will be sadly missed by her children, Lesley Boozell (Steve Gonczy) of Crosslake, Jeffrey (Cheryl) Boozell of Crosslake, Eric (Kari) Boozell of Farmington; Grandchildren, Leah Boozell, Britta Boozell, Dane Boozell; Siblings, Sue DeMers, Karen (Gene) Norling, John (Mary) Lindquist, Dean Dvorak; along with several nieces and nephews.
