Mary Jane Meinert, 65, Mounds View

April 8, 1949 - November 11, 2014

Mary Jane was born April 8, 1949 in St. Cloud to Myron & Justine (Parent) Corrigan. She married Harry “Mick” Meinert on July 17, 1971 at St. Lawrence in Duelm. Mary Jane grew up in Foley and moved to Mounds View after her marriage. She was a Physical Therapy Assistant at Unity Hospital in Fridley for 33 years, retiring in June of 2013. Mary Jane was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in New Brighton. She enjoyed spending time with her family at the cabin up north on Lone Lake, traveling and supporting her sons and grandchildren in all their activities and events. Faith was very important to Mary Jane and she passed those values on to her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Mick of Mounds View; sons, Brian (Rachel) of Plymouth and Bob (Jennifer) of Andover; grandchildren, Jack, Lauren, Grace, Luke, Josie and Abby; sisters, Alice Mae “Kate” Corrigan of Hattiesburg, MS and Therese Sandbo of St. Paul; sister-in-law, Elaine Corrigan of Foley; and brother-in-law, Jim Ahles of Andover.

Mary Jane was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jim Corrigan; sister, Gertrude Ahles; and grandson, Brayden Meinert.

Memorials are preferred to ALS Foundation and St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in New Brighton.
