Martin was born February 24, 1925 in Spring Hill the middle child of Ben and Mary (Hiltner) Wolbeck. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Upon his honorable discharge, Martin returned home and married the love of his life, Irene Stangler, on May 17, 1948 at St. Rosa of Lima in Freeport, MN. Martin worked as a truck driver for Borgert for over 35 years until his retirement. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Sauk Rapids VFW Post 6992, and Sauk Rapids American Legion Post 254. Martin enjoyed fishing, dancing, and making people smile with a good old fashioned Ole and Lena Joke. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, mischievous personality, but most importantly his love for his family outweighs all else. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Fronica Schmit, Appolonia Fleischaker, Theresa Sunders, Gertrude Scherping, Albert, Leo, Marie Thieschafer, Bernard, Rose, Eddie, Christine Nortman, Leonard, Alfred, and Frances Schneider.

Memorials are preferred to Sauk Rapids VFW Post 6992 or Disabled American Veterans (DAV), of which Martin and Irene were lifetime members.
