Marlene Mary Peterson, 74, of Princeton, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2016.

Marlene was born July 22, 1941 in Princeton, the daughter of John and Alvina (Schrom) Daml. She grew up in Princeton and attended Princeton High School. She was united in marriage to David A. Peterson in 1964 at St. Edward’s Catholic Church in Princeton. She worked at Hoffman Engineering where she retired from. Marlene was very social, enjoying coffee with her friends at Merlins, attending family functions and especially going to bingo. She was always on the go and loved being outdoors enjoying the sun. Her family and her faith were important parts of her life and she adored her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.

Marlene is survived by her children Bette (Jay) Alferness of Princeton, Daniel (Diane) Peterson of Prior Lake and Donald (Michelle) Peterson of Aitkin; grandchildren, Jason and Colin Alferness, Danielle and Davis Peterson, and David and Andrew Peterson; sisters Grace Dymanyk and Judy (Mark) Riddel; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives that were important to her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother Willard Daml.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1PM Friday, February 5, 2016. Visitation will be from 4-8PM on Thursday, February 4, 2016 with a prayer service at 5PM, and 12-1PM February 5, 2016. All will be held at Christ Our Light Catholic Parish, North Campus in Princeton. Interment will be in St. Edward’s Catholic Cemetery in Princeton. Arrangements have been entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Princeton.
