Marjorie “Marge” A. Botzek, 92, Sauk Rapids

November 10, 1922 - March 12, 2015

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 16, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sauk Rapids for Marjorie A. Botzek, age 92, who passed away Thursday at Country Manor Health Care Center in Sartell. Rev. Paul Cloeter will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at 9:30 until the time of services at the church on Monday morning.

Marjorie was born Nov. 10, 1922 in St. Cloud to William & Louise (Stack) Mendel. She married Arthur Botzek on November 24, 1946. Marge lived in the St. Cloud/Sauk Rapids area her entire life and she and her husband owned and operated Handy Grocery for 26 years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she was involved in the Ladies Aid, Golden Agers and Bible Study. She volunteered at the St. Cloud Hospital for 25 years. Marge enjoyed fishing, spending time at the cabin, baking, playing cards, canning and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her daughter and son, Jackie (Doug) Peterschick of Sartell and Michael (Pat) Botzek of Willmar; grandchildren, Amber (Scott) Doering of Kerkhoven, Chris Herges of St. Cloud and Adam (fiancée Annie Hagen) Herges of Sioux Falls, SD; and great grandchildren, Boyd, Stella and Cora Doering of Kerkhoven. Marge was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arthur; daughters, Diane Botzek and Cheryl Froemming; and brothers, Marwood and Joe Mendel.

The family would like to thank Country Manor Health Care Center and St. Cloud Hospital Hospice for their loving and respectful care given to Marge.
