Marita M. Geers, 94, Cold Spring

February 20, 1921 – November 21, 2015

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 28, 2015 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Cold Spring, MN for Marita M. Geers, age 94, who died Saturday at Assumption Court. Entombment will be in the St. Boniface Parish Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 28, 2015 in the St. Boniface Church Narthex, Cold Spring.

Marita was born in Cold Spring, MN to John and Margaret (Mathieu) Bolfing. She married Joseph Geers on October 3, 1950 in St. Boniface Catholic Church, Cold Spring, MN. Marita was a homemaker and seamstress who loved gardening and canning. She especially loved to make jam and jellies. Marita was a member of St. Boniface Parish and Christian Women.

Survivors include her children, Patricia (Francis) Chladek, Brian (Tonya) Geers, Carol (Ken) Kopischke and LuAnn Geers; 2 grandchildren, Cortney and Cody Kopischke.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph and her sister, Marcella Johannes.
