Marion requested that no memorial service be held. Instead, she asked family and friends simply remember all the good times shared together. Marion passed away peacefully on Thanksgiving Day at the home of her daughter in St. Joseph.

Marion was born July 5th, 1940 in Spring Hill, Minnesota to Bernard and Agnes (Sieferman) Dockendorf. She married Ted Duncan on August 30th, 1958. Marion was a homemaker and worked for a short time at St. John’s Liturgical Press.

Marion and Ted raised their family in St. Joseph and in retirement resided at their lake home in Hillman, MN. They also enjoyed many weekends hunting with friends and family at their cabin in Black Duck, MN. Although Marion was never a driver herself, she enjoyed car shows and road trips across country with friends. She also loved to travel – with some of her favorite destinations being Ixtapa, Mexico and Laughlin, Nevada.

Marion is survived by daughters, Robbin (Brian) Murphy of St. Joseph, Kim Duncan of St. Joseph; well-loved grandchildren, Adam Murphy, Meghan Murphy, and Kailey Duncan. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, brother, and husband Ted.

Marion’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Hani Al Khatib and CentraCare Hospice for the care given to Marion and her family during this difficult time.
