The Twins lost 5-3 at Seattle against the Mariners Friday night.  Hasashi Iwakuma threw 7 innings with 4 hits and 1 earned run allowed to get the win for the Mariners.  Nick Blackburn allowed 11 hits and 5 earned runs in 5 1/3 innings to take the loss for the Twins.  Joe Mauer went 2-4 with a solo homerun and Josh Willingham hit a solo homerun, his 31st.  Matt Carson in his Twins' debut was 1-4 with 1 RBI and Pedro Florimon in his Twins' debut was 0-3.

Carson started in rightfield and Darin Mastroianni started in centerfield with Denard Span and Ben Revere both out with injuries.  Florimon was the starting shortstop.

The Twins play at Seattle again tonight at 8:10, pregame on WJON at 7:40.
