Marilyn J. Hiscock, 82, St. Cloud

October 22, 1933 - April 5, 2016

Funeral Services will be 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Sauk Rapids for Marilyn J. Hiscock, 82, of St. Cloud who passed away on Tuesday at St. Benedict’s Senior Community in St. Cloud. Rev. Greg Lieser will officiate and burial will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in St. Joseph. Visitation will be after 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home in Sauk Rapids.

Marilyn was born on October 22, 1933 in St. Joseph and was raised by her grandmother, Anna Borresch, and her uncle, Nicholas Borresch. She was married to Duane Hiscock on July 16, 1953 in St. Joseph and they later divorced. Marilyn lived in the St. Cloud/Sartell area for most of her life. She worked in housekeeping at the St. Cloud Hospital for 18 years. She also worked as a cook at Country Manor in Sartell for many years. Marilyn was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and a former member of a St. Francis Xavier Mission Group. She enjoyed Minnesota Twins baseball, bingo, playing cards and crossword puzzles. Spending time with her children and grandchildren was very important to her. She will be remembered for her quiet sense of humor, kind spirit and devotion to her family.

Survivors include her daughters and son, Barbara (Ralph) Cole of Shoreview, Chuck of St. Stephen, Diane Shelander of Sauk Rapids and Jo Bemboom (Tad Farris) of Rice; grandchildren, Anna Hiscock, Cory (Julie) Bemboom, Kari Bemboom, Kyle Bemboom, Kelsey Shelander and Nathan Shelander; and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Borresch; grandparents; and many aunts and uncles.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to St. Benedict’s Senior Community and St. Croix Hospice.

Memorials received will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Association.
