Funeral Services will be 5:00 p.m. Monday, October 6, 2014 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in St. Cloud for Margaret M. Scoles, age 87, of Waite Park and formerly of Clear Lake, who passed away at her home with her family at her side on Sept. 29, 2014. Rev. Dee Pederson will officiate and burial will be at St. Marcus Cemetery in Clear Lake. Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Monday at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, Sauk Rapids.

Margaret was born on June 9, 1927 in St. Cloud, MN, the daughter of Reinhold and Anna Kehle. She grew up in the St. Cloud area and graduated from St. Cloud Tech High School. Margaret married David Scoles, Sr. on Dec. 27, 1952. The next 50 years were filled with moves to California, Alabama, Louisiana, Georgia, and back to Minnesota. On Dec. 27, 2002 they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. She owned and operated Becker and Carlos Bingo Palace’s. But her most important job was being a mother, wife and grandmother. Her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended families were her life. It meant the world to her to spend time with them and be a part of their lives. Margaret also enjoyed reading, puzzles, crossword puzzles, time spent at the cabin and casino trips. She was her son’s biggest race car fan, “frightened mother of #36”.

She is survived by her children, Cindy Nelsen, Jeff (LuRae) Scoles, Suzie (Michelle) Scoles, David Jr. (Sheila) Scoles; grandchildren, Michael (Kelly) Nelsen, Shannon Nelsen, Jeff Jr. (Roz) Scoles, Phonsy Scoles, Nick Regnier, Tiffany Scoles, and David III (Nicola) Scoles; step grandchildren, Chad (Kristen) VanHeel, Nicole VanHeel and Jacob (Sammantha) VanHeel; great grandchildren, Kamryn, Kylie and Kiegan Scoles, Alex, Anthony and Johnathan Nelsen; step great grandchildren, Chase, Max and Easton VanHeel; and nieces, nephews and friends. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David Scoles, Sr. on Aug. 17, 2003; brother, Reinard Kehle; sister, Rosemary Hanson; and nephews, Bill, Chuckie and Don Kehle.

She was truly an angel and will be missed by everyone.

A special thank you to Dr. Leah Holmgren at CentraCare Health Plaza and St. Cloud Hospital Hospice staff, especially Deb Ritter.
