Man’s Body Recovered From Minneapolis Lake Channel

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Crews have recovered the body of a man from the channel between Lake of the Isles and Lake Calhoun in Minneapolis.

The Hennepin County sheriff's office and the Minneapolis Fire Department responded about 2:30 p.m. Monday after a jacket was found frozen to the ice. The victim's body was found underneath the ice nearby.

The sheriff's office is investigating. The Hennepin County medical examiner's office will identify the body and release the cause of death.
